In this playbook, you’ll learn how to monitor and act on late-stage deals by tracking real-time developer engagement within accounts marked as opportunities in your CRM. This play enables AEs and sales managers to ensure ongoing product evaluation and prevent deals from going cold.
By analyzing developer activity signals—such as product logins, documentation reviews, code interactions, or key engagement spikes—you can identify potential blockers early and take proactive steps to keep deals moving. Additionally, sales managers can create account owner-specific segments and share them directly with their AEs, enabling focused pipeline management.

To track high-priority deals effectively, create a segment using your CRM account or deal stages that represent opportunities.

Steps to Set Up Slack Alerts for Ongoing Monitoring:
Navigate to Your Segment:
Go to the Segments section in Reo.Dev.
Find the Opportunities Accounts segment you created.
Enable Alerts:
Click on the Get Alerts button next to your segment.
Monitor the Activity Timeline in Reo.Dev for signals indicating a deal is progressing or stalling.
Take Action Based on Insights—if engagement is low, re-engage the account with tailored outreach; if engagement is increasing, align next steps with the buying team.

Play 2: Sales Managers — Assign and Share Segments with AEs
Sales managers can create dedicated opportunity tracking segments for each AE, ensuring that every rep has focused visibility into their assigned accounts.

Steps:
Create an Opportunity Segment for each AE using CRM Owner as a filter.
Share the Segment with the assigned AE through Reo.Dev’s segment-sharing feature.
Add Notes for Context while sharing the segment, providing insights or key actions to take.
Encourage AEs to Set Up Alerts to stay proactive in tracking engagement.
How to Share & Add Notes:
Click on the "Share Segment" button.
Select the CRM owner’s name from the list.
In the notes section, provide guidance on what actions to take.

This segment contains your late-stage opportunities that have ongoing developer evaluations. Monitor these accounts closely, set up Slack alerts, and follow up based on their latest activity to ensure the deal stays on track. If you notice a drop in engagement, reach out proactively!
